As a business development manager for Michigan and Canada, you will lead revenue growth initiatives and expand our market footprint. Your role will encompass building enduring relationships with end users, machine builders, and introducing our products to new distribution and integration channels. This role harmoniously blends indirect channel management with direct sales within the designated region.

Key responsibilities

  • Strengthen and grow existing sales channels and partnerships, including annual business reviews/planning.
  • Identify, onboard, and nurture new partners to accelerate revenue growth with an emphasis on relationship development.
  • Collaborate with the sales and management teams of our distributors and integrators to boost sales.
  • Ensure all partners are proficiently trained in both sales & technical aspects and are optimally equipped with Sensopart resources.
  • Deepen your technical understanding of industrial vision and sensor products, positioning Sensopart at local, regional, and global levels.
  • Monitor and optimize territory performance, uncovering new business opportunities.
  • Strategically target accounts for new business initiatives and cultivate these relationships.
  • Sell and support our technical products both directly to end-users and through our distribution channels.
  • Utilize our CRM system effectively for optimal organization and customer management.

Desired skills and qualities

  • BS or MS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in channel management or industrial automation equipment sales.
  • Familiarity with machine vision and optical sensors is a distinct advantage.
  • Valid US driver's license and willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Ability to travel from the US to Canada and occasionally Germany.
  • Results-driven self-starter.
  • Proactive approach to sales with a consultative selling style.
  • Ability to prospect via various methods: cold calling, emails, trade shows, etc.
  • Aptitude for analytical problem-solving, relationship management, and product & technology expertise.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, capable of thriving in both independent and remote settings.
  • Stellar presentation capabilities.
  • Proven track record in identifying, engaging, and managing new and geographically diverse sales channels and distribution.
